With Commander Izumi's approval, Hayato travels to Kyoto to reunite with his mother Sakura and sister Haruka, finally meeting Hokuto. He looks forward to riding the Tokaido Shinkansen N700A Nozomi for the first time after a long separation. To ensure Hayato can enjoy this family time without worry, Akita, Tsuranuki, and Shashot remain behind to hold off enemy forces. However, their plans are interrupted when an unprecedented enemy appears before them, threatening the peaceful reunion and the safety of the group.
