Yuki defends the core while Basara, Mio, and Zest battle Zest's clones. Zest attempts to sacrifice herself, but Basara disables the core with his Banishing Shift to kill the beast. Afterward, Basara sees Yahiro execute Zolgear. At home, Zest reaffirms her loyalty. Basara and Mio engage in intimacy, but he stops to apologize for forcing himself on her. Yuki interrupts their second attempt by kissing Basara, joined by Zest. As Mio and Yuki argue, Basara seeks Maria's help, who then kisses him. Shella and Zest are cared for by moderate demons. Finally, Demon Lord Leohart learns of Zolgear's death while confronting Jin Toujou in his throne room.
