Ep. 4: Basara and Yahiro form a truce after the stranger attacks, revealing Zolgear as the culprit behind Mio's parents' death.

A stranger severely injures Basara and blames Mio for endangering her friends. While Maria cares for Basara, Mio considers surrendering her powers to the stranger to protect her companions. Yuki intervenes to stop their departure and fights the stranger, but is overpowered. Basara and Maria arrive, and Basara defeats the stranger using his signature skill, Banishing Shift. However, Basara is again impaled by the stranger's demon, causing Mio's power to spiral out of control due to shock. Basara recovers and calms Mio with his ability. Yuki gives Maria medicine for Basara's recovery and celebrates his control over his powers. At school, Basara identifies Yahiro as the stranger. They establish a temporary truce, with Basara using the threat of reporting Yahiro's failure as leverage, trusting Yahiro did not intend to kill them. Yahiro reveals Zolgear killed Mio's parents. Meanwhile, Jin contacts an unknown recipient.
