During the conflict between heroes and demons, Basara neutralizes Kurumi’s powers using Banishing Shift, while Maria and Mio engage Takashi. Yuki incapacitates Basara with sleeping incense to aid Maria against Takashi. As Kurumi watches over the sleeping Basara, Mio urges him to wake up. Just before Takashi attacks Yuki, Basara intervenes to protect her. When Takashi struggles against Basara, his spear Byakku manifests as a guardian beast. Basara and Yuki defeat the beast. Takashi demands death, but Basara refuses, claiming friendship, which angers Mio. Due to the weakened barrier and Byakku’s loss of control, Shiba enters the battlefield, announces their departure, and takes Yuki with him.
