Yuki clings to Souma’s choker after his death, while Lacuna Chemical Laboratory charges are dropped due to lack of evidence. Kouta’s rescue by Yumiko and Kaibara is revealed, and Kikyou informs Yuki that the Lost incident hole is expanding. Taiyou tells Tsuki and Suzuna that Daichi is stopping this growth, leading him to plan Daichi’s elimination by entering the Lost himself. Yuki and Takuya are warned about the dangers of proximity to the Lost area, with Taiyou threatening them if they approach. Takuya discusses SDR5 with Geek before visiting Yuki. Eiji and Kikyou explain their motives to Geek, Kouta, and Yumiko. Yumiko and Yuki share a heartfelt conversation at a cafe, while Takuya meets Kaibara. Both Yuki and Takuya decide to enter the Lost regardless of consequences. Meanwhile, Tsuki volunteers for Taiyou’s human experiments, which turn grim when he increases output. Yuki and Takuya discuss normal life at the beach before riding Takuya’s scooter toward the Lost.
