The battle between Souma, Yuki, Takuya, Jack, and Rui intensifies. Yoshiaki heals Jack and Rui while Souma’s artifact breaks from Akira’s attack, prompting him to use the Tsuki's Tear to summon Tsubasa. A flashback reveals the past of Jack and Rui. Tsubasa’s ice attack destroys Akira, leading Yoshiaki to question Souma about his brother’s control. Souma refuses to answer, ordering Tsubasa to attack, though the latter intentionally misses. Sumire escapes and causes Souma to drop the artifact, which Yoshiaki destroys using his Tama-shi. Flashbacks show Tsubasa’s history. Souma rejects Yuki’s plea to leave, insisting he must save her rather than be seen as weak. They embrace, leaving Suzuna vexed but amused by Taiyou. Souma remains unconscious at Eiji’s house while Takuya returns to Light of Hope Academy to face his past.
