Ep. 9: Daichi presents parallel universe theory while facing police inquiry about ancient remains and DNA anomalies.

Daichi, father of Yuki and Souma, delivers a lecture on parallel universes at Lacuna Chemical Laboratory. Detective Negishi and young Keigo question him regarding three bodies found nearby, which appear to be fifty years old yet share Daichi’s DNA. Daichi challenges the detective’s claims before being summoned to the Director’s office. Meanwhile, Taiyou secures a promotion by poisoning a department manager’s drink, enabling Project Noah to begin. Daichi oversees the construction of a portal gate to another world while collecting necessary materials. He develops a relationship with Mifuyu, a cafeteria worker whose father died in a bus accident blamed on her. Despite Taiyou’s warnings against distractions, Daichi struggles to end the romance. Yuki is born as a contradiction, and years later, the Lost Incident occurs due to Taiyou disabling the portal’s safety constraints.
