Moronao believes Yukinari is his grandfather, Fujiwara no Koretada, and seeks vengeance for a past trick that caused his exile. Masahiro traps Moronao in a barrier and prepares to perform an exorcism. However, a mysterious woman who previously freed Moronao from his grave brings the spirits to life. The narrative questions the identity of this woman and whether Masahiro, his grandfather, and the 12 Shinshou can halt the rising spirits and the woman. They must also manage Moronao to prevent him from killing Yukinari before the situation escalates further.
