Saku, Hime, and Edogawa tail Mihoshi and Sōma after overhearing their weekend arrangements, suspecting a date. Their surveillance leads them to a cemetery where Mihoshi honors her father, who died in a car accident, leaving the trio feeling awkward. Meanwhile, Fumie attempts to gift Saku a bookmark from her Hokkaido school trip, but her glasses break when Saku shields her from a stray baseball. Saku offers to walk her home, but they encounter two literature club members who escort Fumie the rest of the way. Later, Saku enlists Fumie's assistance to organize a shooting star viewing event at school. Mihoshi is deeply moved by this gesture, showing her emotional response to the effort made for her.
