Their relationship soured when Mihoshi fell from a tree on their last day together, resulting in Saku breaking his arm and avoiding her since. On his first day of high school, Saku encounters Mihoshi recruiting members for the astronomy club. Although he initially tries to evade her, he learns she was hospitalized and could not see him off years ago. Understanding this, Saku reconciles with Mihoshi and decides to join the astronomy club.

The group realizes she is missing and suspects Mihoshi has gone to search for her. Mihoshi locates Hime, who is near freezing, and they shelter in a small snow cave. They discover they are close to the cabin. Upon returning, they are scolded for their actions but everyone is relieved to have them safe.

Sep 22, 2009The astronomy club members wake up late and warm up in outdoor baths. Ayumi Ōmi notices Roma stressing over university entrance exams and takes him to buy a study book and have dinner at a fancy restaurant. The group waits until the moon sets on the third night, spending their final night in the mountains stargazing and taking photos. They use eyepieces Mihoshi brought to find Saturn, which is an entrancing sight for everyone. The following spring, Mihoshi has succeeded as club president after Roma graduated and entered into university with Ayumi. Everyone puts in more effort this year for recruiting members, since they are now one member short, and are again in danger of getting disbanded.
