As the new semester begins, Saku spots a tall man on the bus to school. During the welcome back ceremony, he is introduced as Nozomu Sōma, the new world history teacher for Saku's class. Mihoshi addresses him as "Sō-nii," sparking rumors about their relationship. Sōma later becomes the astronomy club adviser, revealing that Mihoshi's father was his college professor and former club adviser. He proposes building a planetarium for the cultural festival, aiming to secure increased funding by placing in the top three of an exhibit popularity contest. Meanwhile, Saku feels irritated by the dynamic between Mihoshi and Sōma. Fumie approaches Saku to assist with the literature club, adding another layer to his school life.
