Ep. 2: Black Star and Tsubaki hunt Al Capone's gang to Angela's residence.

After failing to collect the 99 souls of mobster Al Capone and his men, assassin Black Star and his weapon Tsubaki track them to the residence of the witch Angela. They discover that Angela's bodyguard Mifune has already killed everyone. Black Star engages Mifune in combat but is easily defeated due to his lack of skill. When Mifune insults him, Black Star accuses him of trying to upstage him and uses a surprise attack to win. However, upon discovering that Angela is a helpless young girl, Black Star decides not to kill her or Mifune. He also declines to collect the mobsters' souls because he did not personally defeat them.
