Ep. 51: Maka and Soul face Asura, whose power is overcome by their collective bravery and heart.

Maka and Soul remain against Asura, who easily shatters Maka’s upgraded Kishin Hunter attack. Maka takes a hit to protect Soul, but her weapon blood awakens to continue fighting. Asura defeats her again, forcing her to wake through pain. Crona explains that Maka’s true strength lies in her heart, not technique, as Lord Death recovers. When Asura claims Maka has no hope, she and her recovering allies declare that true strength comes from bravery. Asura, unable to understand bravery, succumbs to fear. He weakly tries to deny Maka’s advance, but she punches him in the face. Realizing bravery resembles madness, Asura explodes, cleansing the world of his madness. Kid fears another kishin’s rebirth, but Maka remains confident that everyone possesses bravery in their hearts.
