Following an asteroid impact on Expel, natural disasters and monsters increase in frequency, reviving a legend of a warrior wielding a sword of light. Meanwhile, on Milocinia, Ronixis J. Kenni commands the Calnus to investigate a black globe causing disturbances. During this mission, Claude C. Kenni is pulled into a device and transported to Expel. There, he encounters Rena Lanford and saves her from an attack using his phase pistol. Rena mistakes the weapon for the legendary sword of light and concludes that Claude is the prophesied savior destined to rescue their planet from the growing threats.
