Okabe realizes a D-Mail from Faris altered Akihabara's moe culture history, while Ruka's gender changed to female. He recruits Suzuha as a lab member after she states she will leave Tokyo if she cannot find her father by the next day. As friends prepare a farewell party and offer her a D-Mail, Okabe receives a threatening text with a photo of a gelatin treat. While shopping with Mayuri, he recalls that his ability to retain memories from previous timelines began in childhood. That night, Suzuha fails to appear, sending only a farewell message. Okabe searches the city, unaware that the satellite in the Akihabara radio building has vanished. He sends a D-Mail to himself to follow her, shifting the world line so she attends the party and remains in Tokyo.
