A promotional anime for the Super Dragon Ball Heroes game series was announced in the July 2018 issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine, set to premiere that summer. It will adapt the "Prison Planet" arc from Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Universe Mission. The first episode was scheduled for an advance screening at the "Super Dragon Ball Heroes Universe Tour 2018" gaming tournament, held at Aeon Lake Town in Saitama Prefecture on July 1.
