Xeno Trunks powers up to Super Saiyan 3, while Goku and Vegeta transform into Super Saiyan Blue. Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Goku then combine forces to drive Janemba back with simultaneous attacks. The battle is interrupted when two mysterious figures knock Janemba away, enraging Dr. W. Xeno Trunks and Xeno Pan identify the new arrivals as Majin Salsa and Putine.

Dr. W escapes via teleportation, and Putine transports the united group toward the Universe Tree. In a separate location within Hell, Hearts remains imprisoned in a cell.

The group arrives at the Universe Tree, where Fu reveals his plan to create a new universe. Towa teleports Xeno Goku, Xeno Vegeta, Xeno Trunks, and Xeno Pan away with Majin Salsa and Putine. Vegeta and Goku attack Fu, who uses Cumber's energy to corrupt their ki and induce a berserk state. Despite their rage, they refuse to fight each other and continue assaulting Fu. Fu strikes them with his sword, negating the corruption and restoring their sanity. As Fu waits for the Tree to mature, Goku and Vegeta fuse into Vegito using Potara earrings provided by Majin Salsa. Vegito repels Fu's corruption attempt with a barrier and powers up to Super Saiyan Blue.

This standalone special features two teenagers competing in the 10th anniversary championship of Super Dragon Ball Heroes via a virtual-reality console. They enter the Dragon Ball world as avatars, each powering up to Super Saiyan Blue. The boy’s team includes Vegito, Yamcha, Xeno Trunks, Goku, Bardock, and Jiren, while the girl’s team consists of Gogeta, the Masked Saiyan, Broly, the Dark-Masked King, the Grand Priest, and Demigra. After a long battle, the boy’s team wins, making him the new champion. Three new avatars then appear, supported by Heles, Champa, Vados, Beerus, Whis, and Belmod. Although the newcomers initially dominate, the champion and his team’s Goku access Ultra Instinct to turn the tide. Inspired by his team, the champion happily prepares to continue the game.

Simultaneously, an alternate version of Broly awakens in an unknown location.

Xeno Vegito attacks Fu, and the battle resumes. Meanwhile, in an unknown location, an alternate version of Broly awakens.

Whis and Vados sense the flawed universe on Beerus' planet in the Seventh Universe. Meanwhile, Goku awakens alone in a strange, empty version of West City within the new universe.

Trunks reveals Fu created a copy of the Seventh Universe. After Frieza and Cooler track Goku again, Hearts intervenes, explaining Demigra retrieved his spirit from Hell to help destroy Fu for misusing the Universe Seed. Goku and Hearts ally against the duo, who transform into Golden forms. Hearts fights Cooler while Goku briefly uses Ultra Instinct to subdue Frieza. Using a duplicate Dragon Radar, they locate another ball on a nearby planet. There, the masked Saiyan watches Vegeta, Turles, and Cumber, ordering them to fight one another.

Shurum, Salsa, and Putine open a portal to a pocket dimension for training. Shurum promises a partner will distract Black. Inside, Goku and Vegeta face shadowy duplicates of past enemies. Meanwhile, Black observes the universe until a cloaked Super Saiyan ambushes him. Black powers up to a Super Saiyan 3-like form and defeats the attacker. Just then, Goku and Vegeta emerge from the dimension, having mastered their full powers, interrupting Black.

Goku loses Ultra Instinct, allowing Black to absorb energy from the false universe and defeat Vegeta. Black summons a Majin Omega Shenron via a scroll, defeating Golden Frieza and Meta-Cooler. Hearts and Cumber engage Omega while Black overpowers the others. Goku and Vegeta fuse into Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta, who accesses Super Saiyan Blue Evolved to defeat Black by shattering his mask. Black and Omega disintegrate as the cloaked Saiyan returns with seven Dragon Balls. He activates them, teleporting Goku back to the Universe Tree to meet a younger Fu.
