The time loop reaches its 15,532nd iteration as Haruhi prepares to leave on August 30. Kyon urges the SOS Brigade members to stay and finish their summer homework together. Although Haruhi is annoyed by this request, she agrees to remain despite having already completed her assignments. She becomes satisfied that she has maximized her summer experience. Consequently, Kyon finally wakes up on September 1, marking the end of the loop and the beginning of a new school term. This resolution allows the characters to move forward without being trapped in the repetitive cycle that has persisted for thousands of days.
