During the 15,513th iteration of the time loop, Kyon experiences an intensified sense of familiarity with the surroundings and events from previous cycles. Despite this awareness, the Brigade members remain unable to devise a strategy to break the repetitive pattern. During their final gathering at a restaurant, Kyon attempts to call out to Haruhi but is paralyzed by flashing visions of the loop's occurrences. When he regains his senses, Haruhi has already departed. As the last day of vacation arrives, Kyon accepts the inevitability of the cycle repeating itself. Consequently, he goes to bed without completing his summer homework, resigned to the endless repetition of the same day.
