Kirito proceeds toward the central city within the Underworld, whereas Kazuto Kirigaya remains unconscious in a real-world hospital. Following Kikuoka’s directive, Kazuto is transferred to a facility with superior equipment. When Asuna and Suguha attempt to visit, they are denied entry and informed that no visitors are permitted until his recovery. Suspecting that Kazuto is located at Rath, the workplace where they research the Soul Translator, the group divides to uncover more information. Despite their efforts to investigate Rath, they fail to determine Kazuto’s exact location or whereabouts.
