Ep. 8: Tamahiko Returns to School and Meets His New Classmate Hakaru
Tamako arranges for Uncle Tamasuke to sponsor Tamahiko’s return to school. While studying for a remedial exam, Tamahiko skips lessons to watch musician Kotori Shiratori perform with Yuzu and local children, enjoying her music. He passes the exam and resumes his studies. He soon discovers that Kotori’s twin brother, Hakaru, is transferring into his class. Tamahiko struggles with his peers, but Hakaru shows interest, leading to them getting in trouble with a teacher. As punishment, Tamahiko brings Hakaru home to meet Yuzuki, then lies about his day. Hakaru confronts him privately but accepts Tamahiko’s wish to keep Yuzu happy. Hakaru calls Tamahiko his friend and promises to return. He keeps this promise by arriving later with Kotori, surprising Yuzuki.
