Ep. 11: Tartarus Stops at Keterburg Bay Where Jade Reveals His Dark Past

The Tartarus suffers an engine failure and docks at Keterburg Bay for repairs. Jade, Dist, and Emperor Peony of Malkuth share a connection to this city. Jade meets his sister Nephry, the governor, to arrange the repairs. Stranded, Jade confides in Luke about his history with Dist, formerly known as Saphir. They previously experimented with replication and fonic artes. Jade accidentally unleashed an uncontrollable fonic arte that killed his instructor, Professor Nebilim. This tragedy drove Jade to pursue fomicry research to recreate Nebilim, though he failed. Adopted by a military family, he gathered battlefield corpse data, earning the title "the Necromancer." Once the ship is fixed, Luke and the group depart for Grand Chokmah.
