Ep. 14: Dr. Thunderland Jr. kidnaps Steak, revealing his true nature as a healer.
Dr. Thunderland Jr., head of the Bee Hive and Third Bioscience Division, is known as the Corpse Doctor for dissecting animals. Exhausted from firing shindans, Lag returns to the post office and reunites with Connor and Zazie. Thunderland identifies Steak as a rare Kapellmeister capable of symbiosis with spirit insects and kidnaps him for dissection. Lag and his friends pursue the doctor, cornering him at his lab. Zazie attacks Thunderland for using stray cats in experiments, but Lag opens the cage, revealing Thunderland’s flashbacks. He is actually a kind physician who creates cures from corpses and cared for the cats during a neighborhood disease. Later, Aria plays her violin in the lobby, using her Heart Restoration shindan to heal the staff. Thunderland tells Lag that Gauche Suede understood him and wishes him luck in finding the missing man.
