Hunt and Sarah flee Honey Waters after townspeople attack, while Lag is shot by Gauche

Hunt’s past reveals his departure from a circus due to his monster hands, leading him and Sarah to Honey Waters where they were rescued by Gauche and Roda. Gauche met the leader of the anti-government group Reverse, who offered him membership and information about Sylvette, but Gauche declined. In Honey Waters, locals feared Hunt until Sarah claimed they were the Ones Unable to Become Spirits responsible for killing gaichuu. When townspeople threw rocks at the couple, Lag defended them, causing Sarah to protect him instead. Hunt and Sarah departed for the Bee Hive in Connor’s carriage to seek Dr. Thunderland Jr.’s help. Meanwhile, Niche met Roda, and Lag encountered Gauche, who no longer remembered him. Gauche, now calling himself Noir, stole Lag’s letter and shot him with a shindanjuu. Wounded, Lag watched tearfully as they left before falling unconscious.
