EP 1Lag delivers a package to Elena Blanc and a letter to her brother Wald in Yodaka.
Oct 3, 2009Lag Seeing returns to the hive for an assignment involving a small package for Elena Blanc and a letter to her brother Wald in Yodaka. Chief Largo Lloyd assigns veteran guide Darwin to accompany them to Bifrost. Aria reveals Darwin is Elena’s Dingo and the true package. During the journey to Giorgo, Darwin collapses and Lag leaves him at a house after recalling Gauche Suede. A local warns that Elena died at Dacquiose Cliff ten years ago. Darwin insists on continuing. At Dacquoise Cliff near Silencio, Gaichuu Absinthe attacks. Lag sees Darwin’s heart, revealing he waited for Elena despite Largo’s advice. Lag follows Darwin to Silencio, where he dies beside Elena’s grave. Lag delivers the pendants and letter to Wald, who places charms on both graves.
EP 2Lag steals Gauche's Shindanjuu to reach the capital, leading to a Gaichuu Bucker encounter.
Oct 10, 2009Lag, Gauche, and Roda continue their journey. Lag warms to Gauche and Roda but remains intent on finding his mother, asking Gauche to bring him to Akatsuki if he becomes Head Bee. Gauche refuses, sticking to his duty as Letter Bee. Upset, Lag steals Gauche's Shindanjuu while he sleeps to head for the capital but gets lost and falls into a sand trap set by a Gaichuu Bucker. Gauche arrives to save Lag, shooting the Gaichuu but missing due to distance. They prepare for another shot, and Lag reveals a spirit amber in his left eye, which strengthens the Shindanjuu to destroy the Gaichuu. Lag carries an injured Gauche to town. Three days pass, and Gauche struggles to get supplies as townspeople are wary of outsiders. Lag brings food and water before they leave. They share a touching moment as Gauche finally treats Lag as a friend. Lag bids farewell, shouting he will become a Letter Bee like Gauche someday. Five years later, Lag prepares to embark on his promise.
EP 3Lag meets Niche and delivers her to her destination before his interview
Oct 17, 2009After five years of training with his aunt Sabrina, Lag passes his Letter Bee preliminary exams and prepares for an interview in the Yuusari region. He departs with Connor, a Letter Bee from Campbell Litus, but stops at the train station. There, Lag discovers a young girl sitting in a niche with an unclear mailing label. He chooses to leave Connor and personally deliver the girl instead of proceeding to his interview immediately. When asked for her name, the girl reveals she has many aliases. Lag decides to call her Niche based on their first meeting, and she accepts the name. This encounter occurs before Lag continues his journey toward Yuusari for his official examination.
EP 4Lag and Niche arrive at Love Someone Down circus, where Niche is delivered and Lag retrieves her after a Gaichuu attack.
Oct 24, 2009Lag and Niche arrive at the town they sought, locating the address for a freak circus called Love Someone Down. They find that the performing animals have been mistreated. Niche is handed over to the ringleader and says goodbye to Lag. Lag realizes he forgot to have the receiver sign the delivery receipt and returns to the circus. He learns that Niche is the newest exhibit and rushes back to witness her destroying the facility and freeing the animals. Lag pursues her into Broccoli Forest, Gaichuu territory. He finds Niche fighting a Gaichuu. Although she decapitates the creature, it attacks again and injures her. Lag fires a Shindan into the Gaichuu, destroying it. During the event, Niche sees Lag’s memories. She decides to become Lag’s Dingo. An escaped circus animal named Steak joins them.
EP 5Lag and Niche encounter Neri in Kyrie after she steals his crossing pass to Yuusari.
Oct 31, 2009Lag and Niche reach Kyrie, a remote town bordering Yuusari. They meet Neri, who steals Lag’s bag to obtain a crossing pass for Yuusari. She reveals her motive: to send a letter to Letter Bee Jiggy Pepper, whom she blames for abandoning her and her brother Nero, who died while he was away. After Neri attacks Lag, the townspeople intervene and seize the pass. Niche defeats the crowd, but Neri recovers and flees toward the bridge to Yuusari. Lag and Niche pursue her. Meanwhile, a mysterious man named Largo Lloyd observes the pair with interest.
EP 6Neri attempts to mail a letter to Jiggy Pepper while crossing the Bifrost bridge.
Nov 7, 2009Neri tries to cross the bridge to Bifrost but finds it missing. Signal, the gatekeeper, identifies her as a trespasser and summons a frog-like creature to dispose of her. Niche arrives to pin down the monster, while Lag risks his life to grab Neri's letter. He shoots a Shindan from his hand and obtains the letter, in the process revealing the heart of Nero. Neri witnesses Nero convincing Jiggy to go pursue his dreams and he promises to become stronger in order to protect his sister someday. The letter was meant for Nero to apologize to Jiggy for his unfulfilled promise, and asks Jiggy to take care of Neri. Largo Lloyd appears and explains his theory of Lag's ability with his spirit amber: to peer into one's heart. Using this information, Lag fires a Shindan at the church bell, revealing to Neri that Jiggy funded the building of the church in town in order to instill hope for his siblings and the townspeople. Her faith in Letter Bees restored, Neri decides to mail the letter to Jiggy herself, and bids goodbye to Lag's group.
EP 7Lag Takes Suitability Exam at Yuusari Central Head Post Office
Nov 14, 2009Lag’s group crosses the Bifrost bridge to reunite with Connor, who transports them to Central Yuusari for Lag’s Head Post Office exams. There, sub-master Aria Rink introduces Lag to master Largo Lloyd, who assigns Lag to conduct a suitability interview with fellow initiate McCay G. The pair must deliver letters through a Gaichuu-infested path. McCay arrives first and encounters a centipede Gaichuu named Glen Keith but lacks experience with Gaichuu and Shindanjuu. Lag’s group arrives and defeats the creature through coordination, though Lag accidentally soils the letter. Proctor Zazie evaluates the performance and uses Lag’s Shindan on McCay’s letter, revealing McCay had forged it after his own was damaged. Consequently, McCay fails while Lag receives Zazie’s approval. Lag is then surprised to learn from Zazie that Gauche is no longer a Letter Bee.
EP 8Lag visits Sylvette Suede to inquire about Gauche after learning of his work-related breakdown.
Nov 21, 2009Zazie informs Lag that Gauche suffered a breakdown from work stress. Connor drives Lag to Sylvette Suede’s home, where she mistakes him for a debt collector. Lag sees Gauche’s Shindanjuu there but learns he never returned home after being fired from Akatsuki. Sylvette recalls Aria delivering the termination notice and assumes Gauche is dead, ordering Lag to leave. On the way back, Lag asks Niche what she would do if he lost his heart. She vows to do whatever it takes to bring him back and never forget him. Moved by her loyalty, Lag rushes back to Sylvette’s house, promising to find Gauche and restore her hope.

Nov 28, 2009Lag returns to Sylvette’s home, where his spirit amber glows upon touching Gauche’s Shindanjuu. Both witness flashbacks revealing Gauche’s determination to work dangerous deliveries to cure Sylvette’s disability. The final memory shows Gauche before traveling to the capital and meeting Reverse. Lag promises to retrieve Gauche and return him to Sylvette. Sylvette entrusts Lag with Gauche’s Shindanjuu according to her brother’s wishes. Later, Largo evaluates Lag’s performance at the Beehive and promotes him to a full Letter Bee. Lag declares his ambition is not merely to serve as a Bee, but to become Head Bee, ensuring no letter delivery is impossible.
EP 10Lag and Niche assist Zazie and Connor against Gaichuu after Aria shares history of the Day of Flicker
Dec 5, 2009Sylvette permits Lag to reside in Gauche's room for rent. Aria visits to inquire about Lag's past, taking him and Niche to the Hill of Prayer under the bright artificial sun of Akatsuki. She recounts the Day of Flicker, when a government airship crashed near the sun, causing a brief light outage. This event made Gauche forget his deceased mother and focus entirely on caring for Sylvette. Lag reveals he was born on the Day of Flicker, like Sylvette. The group then leaves Aria to help Zazie and Connor repel multiple Gaichuu attacks. Following the battle, the three Letter Bees share lunch and drink Sylvette's soup, discovering its terrible taste.
EP 11Lag and Niche deliver a letter while encountering Moc Sullivan and a Gaichuu attack.
Dec 12, 2009Lag and Niche start their first delivery, meeting Bee Moc Sullivan, who doubts Lag’s suitability and argues that delivery staff should ignore letter contents. They visit Vincent Alcott, a struggling writer who sends fictionalized daily life updates to his mother. Lag disapproves but proceeds. During the journey, the trio faces a Gaichuu threatening a bridge. After defeating the creature, a shindan reveals Vincent’s true memories to Louise, his actual mother. She understands his habit and hopes he eventually returns home with pride. On the return trip, Niche reveals a hidden letter inside a book eaten by Steak. Recognizing it as containing Vincent’s genuine feelings, Lag decides to deliver it to him.
EP 12Lag and Zazie deliver Holy Night wishes and encounter Sonja, a girl feared by her village due to her tragic past.
Dec 19, 2009In this anime-exclusive episode set during Sei-naru Yoru, a Christmas-like holiday from the northern areas of AmberGround, Lag and Zazie act as Holy Night Messengers. Dressed in Santa Claus-like costumes, they deliver letters and grant wishes to recipients. Their journey leads them to Sonja, a girl whose parents were killed by Gaichuu. The villagers fear she attracts more Gaichuu to their settlement. When a Gaichuu attacks, Zazie concludes the incident resulted from the abundance of presents for Holy Night. Before leaving, Sonja gives Lag and Zazie her red and green hair ribbons as mementos. Zazie subsequently gives one of his ribbons to a cat he had discovered earlier in the area.
EP 13Promessa seeks Pistis to cancel their engagement after five years of waiting for his scholarly dreams.
Dec 26, 2009Promessa Prometas returns to retrieve a letter intended for his fiancée, Pistis, fearing she will reject him after five years. Galador, who pursues Pistis to seize her land, intercepts the letter from Lag and Niche. Galador threatens to destroy the letter unless Pistis surrenders her rights. Lag discovers the theft and reunites with Promessa to confront Galador. During the confrontation, the letter is torn open, spilling seeds that instantly bloom into a field of flowers. Promessa reveals he cultivated these blooms as part of his promise to Pistis. He formally asks for her hand in marriage again. Pistis accepts his proposal, resolving the conflict and fulfilling his dream alongside their union.
