Strange radio waves originating from outer space disrupt the artificial intelligence controlling all robots. This unexpected malfunction leaves Dr. Ochanomizu without a clear solution to the crisis. Faced with the urgent need to restore order, he is forced to make a difficult decision. To stop the erratic behavior of the machines, he must cut the energy supply to every robot. This drastic measure is taken to prevent further chaos caused by the space-borne interference affecting their systems.
