Ep. 24: Mikoto and allies defeat Therestina to save children from Level 6 plot
Kiyama pursues MAR trailers, unaware they are decoys, but is rescued by Mikoto. Kuroko, Mitsuko, Yomikawa, Tsuzuri, and Anti-Skills hold off MAR Troops while Kiyama, Kazari, and Ruiko approach Kihara's laboratory. Mikoto defends them from Therestina's giant mech, which Kuroko helps destroy using its arm as a railgun. The group reaches the underground lab holding Erii and the children, but Therestina survives and activates Capacity Down to weaken the espers. Her plan involves using a First Sample to force Erii to become a Level 6 esper, destroying the city. Ruiko, unaffected by the ability, destroys the controls, enabling Mikoto to defeat Therestina. Kiyama uses the sample to create a cure, awakening Banri and the others. The recovering children send a birthday message to Kiyama via blimp as Mikoto and her friends watch.
