After Poltergeist incidents, Mikoto suspects Kiyama, but Kuroko points to Erii due to location patterns. A secret investigation reveals Erii, a Level-2 telepath, can trigger Level-4 powers. During a park visit, Erii enters a trance, causing a violent attack that angers Kazari toward Kuroko. Therestina tests Erii at the MAR Base Research Laboratory to clear her name. Erii explains her trances are triggered by hearing the voice of her childhood friend, Banri Edasaki, another telepath. Showing a photo in her pendant, Mikoto identifies Banri as a former Child Error student of Kiyama who is currently in a coma.
