Ranmaru investigates the mystery surrounding Phantom demons when he is confronted by two men in dark sunglasses carrying pistols during a walk in a local park. Simultaneously, Saya is injured in a hit-and-run incident that appears to be a staged attack by an unknown vehicle during her break time. Ryoko and other associates inform Ranmaru that a cult society may have hired assassins to target her. This coordinated assault suggests a deliberate attempt to eliminate Saya while Ranmaru faces immediate physical threats from the armed strangers in the park.
