Ep. 1: Down-and-out Hanagaki Takemichi relives life after girlfriend Hinata dies in Tokyo Manji Gang conflict

Hanagaki Takemichi, a depressed part-time worker, receives shocking news that his junior high girlfriend, Tachibana Hinata, was killed due to violence involving the Tokyo Manji Gang. While attempting to continue his mundane daily routine following this tragic revelation, Takemichi is unexpectedly pushed onto the railway tracks at a station. Facing an oncoming train and accepting his imminent death, he finds himself instead transported back in time. He awakens to find himself reliving his life from 12 years ago, effectively resetting his personal history and circumstances to a point long past the events that led to Hinata's demise.
