Facing an oncoming train and accepting his imminent death, he finds himself instead transported back in time. He awakens to find himself reliving his life from 12 years ago, effectively resetting his personal history and circumstances to a point long past the events that led to Hinata's demise.

Pah-chin accepts a one-on-one duel against Osanai, despite the opponent being two years his senior. Osanai defeats Pah-chin severely. Kisaki then prepares to shoot Takemichi, referring to him as "hero".
