Ep. 9: Kosuke confesses his love to Carol after Misuzu's interference causes a misunderstanding.

A flashback shows Kosuke meeting Carol, while present-day events see him join Goro's dojo. He tells Tomo he seeks strength for Carol. Carol, jealous of Tomo, visits Junichiro, prompting Kosuke to confess his feelings to Misuzu, citing Carol's vulnerability as his motivation. Misuzu makes cruel remarks about Kosuke's interest in her, causing Carol to flee crying. Misuzu regrets this and directs Kosuke to her home. There, Kosuke explains the lie to Carol and finally confesses his love. Carol accepts, and her mother approves the relationship after Kosuke promises not to change her nature, noting she now has friends. The episode ends with Carol scaring Misuzu the following day.
