Hot Shot, Red Alert, and Scattershot survive an attack by Megatron by activating a radar dish. This device sends a beam through a space bridge to the Omega Lock on Cybertron, releasing golden waves that resurrect the trio as the Cybertron Defense Team. They acquire new vehicle modes to fight the Decepticons more effectively. Meanwhile, Optimus Prime, Evac, and Override pursue Starscream. The newly formed Cybertron Defense Team engages Megatron and Scourge in battle. This sequence marks their transformation and reorganization into a specialized unit dedicated to defending Cybertron against the ongoing threat posed by the Decepticon forces.
