Masato Oosuki is summoned into a video game by Masumi Shirase after completing a questionnaire about his mother, Mamako. Mamako is unexpectedly transported alongside him, and the Teleportation King registers them as a Normal Hero and his mother. Masato selects the Firmament sword, while Mamako takes Terra de Madre and Altura, intending to use them as kitchen utensils. Mamako proves significantly stronger than Masato and reveals Shirase sent her for a secret purpose. They arrive in the Kingdom of Mommalia at the adventurer's guild, where an employee named Shirarase resembles the Cabinet Office official. Masato recruits three female companions, prompting Mamako to interview them to determine which girl will become a suitable future bride for her son.
