Ep. 4: Shirase Revives and Wise Confronts the Cheating Empress Kazuno in a Hacking Battle

The group restores Shirase, who exposes the Empress, known as Kazuno, for cheating. Shirase proposes waiving the penalty if Wise repairs their bond. Kazuno initiates combat by summoning a white room, which Masato identifies as a hacking tool intended for real-world gain. Despite Wise’s attempts to reason with her, Kazuno remains hostile. Mamako enters the space, prompting Masato to utilize Porta’s equipment to seal Kazuno’s magic as a Sage. Defeated, Kazuno is caught by Wise, who pleads for reconciliation. She reverts to her true form but immediately resumes arguing with Wise. Shirase declares the conflict resolved, allowing Kazuno to exit. Wise chooses to remain with Masato to assist the party for enjoyment. Shirase contacts them with a new mission to address issues beyond the software writers' capabilities, while Mamako rejoices in her ability to converse normally with Masato.
