Houston informs Mutta that firing a flare will reveal Hibito's movement. With under twenty minutes of oxygen remaining, Hibito uses his final flare as a makeshift fireplace to warm Damian. He reaches the crater's summit and exposes Damian to sunlight, but feels stressed due to communication failure. Houston confirms their location matches Mutta's prediction and notes Hibito has less than ten minutes of oxygen left. After ensuring Damian is shaded, Hibito walks toward the ravine to view the stars again. He then spots a previous flash and investigates, finding a small astronaut figure left by Brian.
