Hibito becomes trapped in a crater, cut off from Damian and Houston. While searching for his companion, he locates a probe. A flare reveals Damian’s location, where he suffers from a leg injury and a broken temperature regulation system that threatens to freeze him. Despite Damian’s plea to abandon him, Hibito opts to use the buggy’s battery to power the probe for extraction. During the ascent to reach the probe, Hibito slips and falls, causing damage to his suit upon impact.
