Gamilan Leader Abelt Dessler stages an operation that forces the Yamato to navigate dangerously close to a star. The crew attempts to escape by maneuvering around solar flares capable of instantly destroying the ship. Simultaneously, they are pursued by enemy forces remaining from the Gamilan base on Pluto. This desperate maneuver puts the vessel at extreme risk as it tries to evade capture and survive the hazardous stellar environment while under attack.
