In 2199, humanity is on the brink of extinction after a devastating war with the Gamilos, forcing survivors into underground cities. A capsule arrives from a crashed ship on Mars, delivered to officers Susumu Kodai and Daisuke Shima, revealing a potential solution: the planet Iscandar, located across the Magellan Galaxy, possesses the means to defeat the Gamilos and heal Earth.
