Ataru and Ten engage in a physical altercation during breakfast. During the scuffle, Ataru attempts to strike Ten but misses his target. Instead, he accidentally hits Lum with a rice cooker. As a result of this impact, Lum loses the ability to comprehend or speak Japanese.
