Ep. 20: Lum's childhood suitor Rupa arrives to claim her as his bride despite her family's refusal

A dark-skinned figure visits young Lum, claiming her great-grandfather made a deal 120 years ago to give him a daughter as a bride. After two decades, the family discovers their ancestor, who is shocked to find Lum is female rather than male. The suitor, Rupa, has loved Lum since seeing her picture and arrives at her school to enforce the marriage. When Lum refuses, he gives her a ring that accelerates her aging to remove her horns, temporarily stripping her powers. After arguing with Ataru about hypocrisy, Lum loses her horns and falls asleep in Rupa's arms. Ataru witnesses Rupa kidnapping Lum, ending the encounter with her abduction.
