Ep. 23: Lum plays tag with Ataru to force a confession before memory erasure

Lum and Rupa initiate a tag game, hoping Ataru will admit his love. Rupa reveals their plan to use pigs regardless of the outcome, while Lum accepts she can move on if he refuses. After Rupa engages with Karula, Lum’s parents learn the wedding is cancelled. A spaceship arrives with a memory scrubber set to erase Lum and her friends from Earth if Ataru fails to confess by the final day. The device shuts down only if Ataru grabs Lum’s horns. When the deadline arrives, Ataru questions the value of a lie but ultimately drops the horns he held onto, proving his genuine affection. Lum realizes his true feelings, and they embrace. With the device deactivated and the pigs consuming the mushrooms, their usual antics resume, concluding the series.
