Ataru, Lum, Rupa, and Karula stand atop a tower where Rupa abducts Lum. Believing a clone, Ataru rejects Lum and declares his intent to marry Karula. As they fall, Rupa saves Karula while Ataru dives to save Lum. Lum slaps Ataru, criticizing his selfishness, constant flirting, and lack of trust. He presents a fake marriage certificate, prompting Lum’s horns to regrow. Fed up, she decides to stay with Rupa. Benten admits to tricking Ataru with the clone. Later, Karula brings mushrooms that grow gigantic under light or heat, threatening the town. Lum offers to ask Rupa for help if Ataru confesses his love. He refuses, claiming hatred. A hologram reveals pigs can eat the mushrooms, but Ataru must catch Lum’s horns in a tag game within ten days or admit his love to save the world.
