Ep. 12: Journey to Touno: Separation and the Hakumen no Mono Legend

After leaving the Kamaitachi siblings, Tora and Ushio travel to Touno but are attacked by youkai seeking Ushio's death, causing them to separate. A friendly kappa explains that Ushio's mother is the true target and recounts the history of Hakumen no Mono, a ruthless human and demon-killing youkai from China who retreated from war long ago. Before the kappa can reveal the full truth about Ushio's mother, Ushio is forced to flee again. Meanwhile, Tora confronts his own transformation when challenged by Hitotsuki, a former youkai ally who is now part of the group hunting Ushio.
