Ep. 12: Vanitas and Jeanne retrieve lent items while Ruthven coerces Noé into obedience before the Beast of Gévaudan resurfaces

Vanitas and Jeanne return to the park to collect the hat and parasol lent by Doninique, during which Vanitas deduces that Ruthven is targeting Noé. Having already bitten Noé, Ruthven compels him to swear absolute obedience to a future command. Upon returning home, Vanitas finds an exhausted Noé, just as Dante informs them that the Beast of Gévaudan has reappeared. While Vanitas shows interest in the news, Noé struggles against the scent of Vanitas' blood. Vanitas warns that he will kill Noé if he attempts to drink, as doing so would grant Noé access to his memories. Consequently, Vanitas decides to travel to Gévaudan to investigate the beast sightings, bringing Noé along for the journey.
