Ep. 10: Jeanne Manipulates Nicholas to Kill Rosalie Amidst French Revolution Tensions

Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette are crowned King and Queen of France while Maximilian Robespierre reads their congratulations. Jeanne trained to become a lady but cannot enter Versailles because her guardian is not in favor at court. Rosalie, impoverished and fired due to the depression, begs her sister for help. Jeanne manipulates Nicholas, a man in love with her, into attempting to kill Rosalie. Rosalie attempts prostitution and meets Oscar, who gives her one gold livre and wonders about French conditions. Jeanne and Nicholas kill her guardian and forge Marquise Brandvillier's will to inherit property. Oscar meets them at the funeral and suspects foul play.
