Thorfinn, the son of the renowned warrior Thors, resides on the remote Icelandic island as a rural Norse peasant. He spends his time daydreaming about distant lands, inspired by stories from the adventurer Leif, while enjoying a peaceful existence. This routine is disrupted when his older sister, Ylva, discovers a half-dead runaway slave buried in the snow near their home. Moved by the man's condition, Thors decides to intervene and attempts to save the stranger's life, marking a significant shift in their otherwise ordinary daily routine.
