Thors battles through Askeladd's forces, incapacitating opponents without killing them until he encounters Bjorn, who is enraged by mushroom consumption. After defeating Bjorn, Thors challenges Askeladd to a duel. Following an intense sword fight, Thors wins but yields to protect Thorfinn and the villagers. He is subsequently executed by a barrage of arrows. Witnessing his father's death, Thorfinn hides aboard the captured ship and vows revenge against Askeladd.
