Ep. 5: Vivy and Matsumoto infiltrate Metal Float to disable an AI factory and stop rapid technological advancement.

Five years after the Sunrise incident, AI development has accelerated significantly, mirroring Vivy's expanded idol career. Matsumoto returns with a mission to curb unchecked AI progress by disabling the unmanned Metal Float factory. They recruit ex-Toak member Dr. Tatsuya Saeki to obtain a virus intended to shut down the facility. Vivy meets Saeki's AI attendant, Grace, while Matsumoto notes they were the first human-AI couple in the original timeline, a relationship erased by their alterations. Upon infiltrating Metal Float, the pair encounters an all-AI staff. A Toak flotilla suddenly attacks the island. Hesitant but determined, Vivy uploads the virus to prevent conflict. Instead of shutting down the AIs, the virus causes them to go berserk, using themselves as kamikaze bombers to destroy the attacking ships. Vivy rescues a survivor, who is revealed to be Kakitani.
