Ep. 13: A designer faces vanishing after realizing he was born in the Year of the Cat

A young designer ignores coworker Mitsuki’s tale about the Cat being excluded from the Chinese Zodiac for killing the Rat, believing those born in that year vanish when discovered. After harshly criticizing Mitsuki’s work, the designer suggests they enter a design contest together while secretly undermining her. The next day, he learns his supervisor submitted Mitsuki’s design because he missed the deadline, which Mitsuki had deliberately given incorrectly. As he arrives at work, colleagues and his supervisor ignore him completely. When Mitsuki approaches him, he notices she is melting into water. Remembering the myth, he realizes he was born in the Year of the Cat. He dissolves into a puddle, leaving only an earring that Mitsuki collects before silently saying goodbye.
